VOID LANTERN STUDIOS

Puppy Puzzle Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Void Lantern Studios handles information in connection with our games and this website. It currently applies to Puppy Puzzle and will be updated as our products change.

Version scope: The advertising and privacy-choice sections below describe Puppy Puzzle’s upcoming version 1.0.1 direct-AdMob update. That update has not yet been released. The existing iOS version 1.0 uses the previous Unity LevelPlay integration; its provider information is retained in the legacy-version note below.

Information we collect

Puppy Puzzle does not require you to create a Void Lantern Studios account. We do not directly ask for your name, address, phone number, or payment-card details in order to play.

The game uses third-party services for advertising, app distribution, and in-app purchases. Those services may automatically process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers where permitted, IP address, device and operating-system information, app activity, ad interaction data, diagnostics, approximate location inferred from IP address, purchase status, and similar technical information. The exact information processed depends on your device, region, privacy choices, and the third-party service.

Advertising

The direct-AdMob update uses Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK for bottom-of-screen banner advertisements, interstitial advertisements, and optional rewarded advertisements for hints. Remove Ads suppresses banner and interstitial advertisements; players may still choose optional rewarded hint advertisements.

The app requests non-personalized advertisements and disables Google’s publisher first-party identifier and publisher privacy personalization features. These settings do not mean no information is collected or that all tracking as defined by Apple is disabled. Depending on permission and service operation, Google may process device or advertising identifiers, IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, advertising and app interaction information, crash logs and other diagnostic/performance information for advertising, measurement, analytics and service operation. Where Apple permission allows it, Google may receive the device advertising identifier (IDFA). The app does not request precise GPS location for advertising.

In-app purchases

Puppy Puzzle offers a one-time, non-consumable Remove Ads purchase. On iOS, Apple processes purchases and restores through StoreKit and the App Store. Void Lantern Studios does not receive your full payment-card information. The app uses purchase and entitlement information to determine ownership and suppress banner and interstitial advertisements. Restore Purchases can restore an eligible existing purchase through Apple. Optional rewarded hint advertisements remain available according to the game’s product rules.

Local game data

The game may store settings, progress, entitlement state, and other gameplay information locally on your device. Some information may also be maintained or restored by the platform or store services you use.

Children and privacy choices

Puppy Puzzle is a general-audience puzzle game and is not intended primarily for children. It does not ask players to enter an age. If a supported age-restriction signal is present in the app, advertising is disabled while gameplay remains available.

In the direct-AdMob update, Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) handles applicable regional privacy choices, including consent, refusal and options in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, and opt-out choices in supported US states. Where required, Settings → Privacy Choices lets players reopen those choices. Gameplay remains available if consent is refused or the privacy service is unavailable. Ad requests proceed only when UMP permits them.

Tracking choices

On iOS, the direct-AdMob update resolves Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission after the regional privacy flow and before initializing advertising. Players may allow or decline tracking. Google does not receive IDFA through ad requests when ATT permission is denied. Existing Apple permission decisions remain in effect unless changed through iOS Settings. Declining tracking does not prevent gameplay or otherwise permitted advertisements. ATT and regional consent are separate choices.

Third-party services

The direct-AdMob update uses Google Mobile Ads and Google UMP for advertising and privacy choices. Unity supplies the game engine, and Apple supplies iOS distribution and StoreKit purchases. These providers process information under their own privacy policies.

Read Google’s privacy policy, Apple’s privacy policy and Unity’s game-player privacy policy for provider information.

Legacy iOS version 1.0: Existing installations of the previously released version use Unity LevelPlay and its advertising partners rather than the direct Google integration described above. They continue to use Apple ATT and their existing advertising controls until updated. See Unity’s linked policy for that earlier integration.

This website

This website is hosted using Cloudflare infrastructure. When you visit the site, Cloudflare may process standard network and security information needed to deliver and protect the website. We do not currently run our own advertising, account system, or marketing analytics on this website.

Data retention and security

Information handled directly by Void Lantern Studios is retained only as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is used. Third-party services maintain information according to their own retention and security practices.

Support and privacy requests

We receive your address, message and attachments when you contact support. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of information we hold, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent where applicable, or contact your privacy regulator. Email support@voidlanternstudios.com; we may need to verify your request. Local device records and provider records must also be managed with the relevant device or provider. Removing the app does not remove store transactions or advertising-provider records.

Your choices

Your device and platform may provide controls for advertising identifiers, tracking permissions, personalized advertising, app permissions, and purchase management. Where a consent interface is presented in the game, you can use it to make the choices offered there.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Puppy Puzzle, our website, or the services we use change. The date at the top of this page will show when the policy was last updated.
