HabitVale Privacy Policy
Effective September 24, 2026. HabitVale is a habit-building app from Void Lantern Studios. This policy explains information handled by the app, its purchase services, and our support and website services.

Your habit content stays on your device
Your entered name, habit names and history, streaks, goals, routines and routine runs, notes and reflections, achievements, Vale progression, and notification preferences are stored locally on your device. HabitVale does not send this content to Void Lantern Studios or a third-party purchase-management service. HabitVale does not require account registration and does not currently provide cloud sync, social sharing or messaging, advertising, ad tracking, location tracking, contacts access, camera or microphone access, health-data integration, or AI cloud coaching.
Your operating system may include local app data in device backups, subject to your device and backup settings. This is separate from a HabitVale cloud-sync service; HabitVale does not operate one.
Purchases through Apple
On iOS, Apple processes Monthly and Annual subscriptions and the Lifetime non-consumable purchase through the App Store. HabitVale uses StoreKit on your device to obtain localized product information, verify current signed Apple transactions, restore purchases, and determine Pro access. Apple handles payment information and purchase records under its own privacy policy. Void Lantern Studios does not receive payment-card details.
HabitVale does not send transaction receipts, device identifiers, your profile name or habit content to a third-party subscription-management service or a studio purchase server. The purchase library runs on-device as a bridge to Apple StoreKit; no external purchase-verification or analytics provider is configured. Your current purchase status is read from Apple's verified transaction information. Purchases are not currently offered in the Android or web version.
See Apple's Privacy Policy for information about Apple's processing. Apple may separately provide developers with store sales reports and diagnostics under Apple's settings and policies. These do not mean HabitVale transmits your habit content to us.
Local notifications
With your permission, HabitVale schedules local notifications on your device for supported habit reminders and app reminders. No remote push service or push-token registration is used for these reminders. Notifications may display a habit name on your lock screen. You control notification permissions and preview visibility in system settings, and reminder preferences in HabitVale. Delivery depends on your device settings, Focus modes, permissions, and operating-system behavior. Routine reminder delivery is not currently available.
Export and your choices
Pro users can export a JSON copy of local HabitVale data through the device share system. An export can contain your name, habit content, history, routines, preferences, and progress. You decide where to save or share it; the receiving service's policies then apply. Export does not provide cloud sync or an in-app backup-import feature.
You can edit your name and habits, change reminder preferences, or use Settings → Reset App Completely to clear local app data and scheduled reminders. Removing the app normally removes its local data, although operating-system backups and copies you previously exported may remain under your control. Resetting or deleting the app does not cancel a subscription or remove purchase records retained by Apple. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your store account settings. For a request concerning purchase-service or support information, contact us; information may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security, or transaction purposes.
Support and website information
If you email support@voidlanternstudios.com, we receive your email address and information you choose to include so we can respond. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, or unnecessary sensitive habit information. We keep support correspondence as needed to resolve requests and meet applicable obligations.
Our studio website is hosted through Cloudflare, which processes ordinary connection and security information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the site. Visiting an external link leaves the app and is governed by that service's policies.
Children's privacy
HabitVale is a general-audience habit and wellness tool, not a service directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 through support. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Store age ratings and family purchase controls apply separately.
Security, rights, and changes
Device access controls help protect local data, and Apple StoreKit communications use secure network connections. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other choices concerning personal information we handle; contact us to exercise applicable rights. We may update this policy as the app or our practices change and will post the revised effective date here, with additional notice where required.
