HabitVale Terms of Use
Effective September 24, 2026. These terms apply to HabitVale, provided by Void Lantern Studios. By using HabitVale, you agree to these terms and the applicable store license terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

A habit-building tool, not medical advice
HabitVale helps you plan habits, organize routines, reflect on progress, and build consistency. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition and is not medical, mental-health, or other professional advice. Habit Strength, Insights, and Vale progress are motivational app features, not clinical measures or guarantees of results. Choose goals suited to your circumstances and consult a qualified professional when appropriate.
Your use and local data
You are responsible for your goals, entries, device security, and choices. Your habit content remains yours. HabitVale currently stores this content locally without a HabitVale cloud account or sync service. Device loss, removal of the app, or resetting data can result in data loss. An available Pro export lets you save or share data; it is not an automatic backup or restore service. Local reminders depend on permission and operating-system settings and should not be relied on for time-critical or medical needs.
Free features and optional Pro purchases
Purchases are currently offered only in installed iOS builds using Apple StoreKit. Android and web purchase actions are unavailable.
HabitVale offers Free features and optional Pro access where available. The purchase screen and store confirmation show the features, actual localized price, billing period, taxes where applicable, and other terms for the plan offered to you. Do not purchase based on a promised future feature. Features marked Coming Soon are not currently included functionality.
Monthly and Annual plans are auto-renewable subscriptions. Your Apple App Store account is charged when you confirm a purchase. Unless canceled under the applicable store's rules before renewal, your subscription renews for another billing period at the price shown by the store. On Apple platforms, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid renewal. Any price changes or required consent are handled under the platform's rules.
Manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple account subscription settings. HabitVale may provide a link to the platform's management flow; it does not independently cancel subscriptions. Deleting or resetting the app does not cancel billing. Cancellation normally preserves access through the paid period, subject to store rules.
Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable purchase of ongoing access to the current Pro offering for the supported life of HabitVale, subject to these terms and applicable law. It has no recurring subscription charge. It does not guarantee that the app, every future service, or every platform will exist or be supported indefinitely. Monthly, Annual, and Lifetime are alternative access options; buying Lifetime does not automatically cancel an existing store subscription.
Restore Purchases and refunds
Use Restore Purchases on the HabitVale Pro screen while signed in to the store account used for the original purchase. Restoration depends on the store's records, purchase validity, and platform eligibility. A purchase on one store is not a promise of access on another. Apple StoreKit verifies current purchase transactions on-device. Refund requests and eligibility are handled according to Apple's policies and applicable law. Void Lantern Studios does not receive payment-card details.
License, ownership, and acceptable use
Subject to these terms and your platform license, you may use HabitVale for lawful personal purposes. Void Lantern Studios and its licensors retain rights in the app, branding, artwork, and other supplied content. Do not infringe others' rights, interfere with the app or purchase services, bypass access controls, redistribute the app unlawfully, or reverse engineer it except where applicable law permits. These terms do not transfer ownership of your personal entries.
Availability and changes
We may fix, update, change, or discontinue features or availability, subject to applicable law and any obligations relating to paid access. Compatibility depends on supported devices, operating systems, and third-party services. We may revise these terms and post an updated effective date, providing additional notice where required. Material changes do not remove non-waivable consumer rights.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, HabitVale is provided as available, without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. To that extent, Void Lantern Studios disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost data or lost profits arising from use of the app. Nothing excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees.
Termination and general terms
You may stop using the app at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for material misuse or unlawful activity, subject to applicable law. Provisions intended to survive termination, including ownership and lawful liability limits, continue to apply. Termination or uninstalling does not itself cancel a store subscription.
For the iOS app license, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, including its governing-law provisions, applies alongside these service terms. Applicable platform terms and mandatory laws of your place of residence take precedence where required. These terms do not impose a new choice of jurisdiction that deprives you of mandatory consumer protections. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
