Game information on your device
Word Void stores level progression, the active level, solved words, hinted cells, remaining hints, completion state, settings and tutorial status locally. Save migration can also preserve legacy purchase-ownership state; that does not establish an active store transaction. Recovery backups help restore interrupted or damaged saves.
The current version has no studio account, cloud save service, remote analytics, active advertising integration or real in-app purchase processing. Gameplay progress is not automatically uploaded to a studio server. Your device or backup provider may separately back up app data according to your settings.
Hints, advertising, and purchases
Hints are recorded as game state. Plans for advertising or Remove Ads purchases are not active services in the version covered here. This policy will be revised to identify providers, data and privacy choices before those services are enabled. A local ownership field is not a payment record held by the studio.
Local deletion and backups
Restarting a level clears its solved and hinted progress while preserving spent hints. It is not a complete data deletion. Removing the app and its stored data through device settings removes its local saves; offloading may retain them. Manage device backups and other copies separately. Recovery saves may retain an earlier state until overwritten or removed.
Support, retention, and your rights
If you email us, we receive your address, message and attachments to respond to your request and troubleshoot. Send only necessary information and avoid sending another person’s details without permission. We retain correspondence only as reasonably necessary for support, records and legal obligations. We may disclose information we hold where required by law or necessary to protect users and legal rights.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, restrict or object to processing of information we hold, withdraw consent where applicable, or complain to a regulator. Contact support@voidlanternstudios.com; we may need to verify your request. We cannot directly retrieve or erase information held only on your device. Contact us if a child has sent personal information directly to the studio without appropriate permission.
Website and security
Cloudflare processes network and security information to deliver this website under its privacy policy. The studio website has no advertising or marketing analytics. Email, operating-system and backup providers operate under their own policies and may process data outside your country. No storage or transmission method is completely secure; protect your device and backups.
Changes
We will update this policy when data handling changes and provide further notice or obtain consent as required.
